Cell Bio 293 Draw me another cell!

There was a huge difference in how detailed my last cell drawing was versus my first drawing. My memory of a cell after 10 minutes has increased over the course of the Cell Biology class. I learned how when cells work together to form tissue that makes up our organs and other functional materials, our bodies grow and function properly. If a negative mutation occurs, a loss of function happens- like in diabetes. Once the negative feedback mechanism malfunctions in the pancreas, a person becomes diabetic whereas the beta cells of the pancreas are attacked in an autoimmune response. The beta cell produces the hormone insulin and elevated blood glucose levels stimulate the release of insulin. When the cell is damaged, the correct process cannot occur causing high blood glucose levels within the individual's bloodstream.
